Lost Treasure Project

In this semester I’ve learn some of the basic applications and function of trigonometry.

We review the Pythagorean Theorem, and with it its identities and other identities such as odd

identities, double angle, cosine sum or difference, sine sum or difference, and tangent sum or

difference functions. We also learn the law of sines and cosines, we learn how to use the

special right triangles to figure values of its sides.

Trigonometry is used frequently in real world application, to find lengths, angles, or to

find force value, force in a certain angle varies with the angle, that is why is vital for

architecture. Another example is in human anatomy we could use trigonometry to find the

force that is apply in the tendon and muscle when you are holding a particular weight, or to

engineer a mechanical arm or leg, to build buildings and bridges, anything that apply angles and

circles uses trigonometry as an essential tool.

Trigonometry can be used to find the shortest path by using the Pythagorean Theorem

or the find a lost treasure by using the law of sines and cosines just like we did it on this project.

Trigonometry expands your information, if you have all 3 lengths you could find all the 3 angle,

if you have only 2 and angles you can easily find the third, and if you have one length and two

angles you can find the others by using this trigonometry functions.
