Glossary
The data in the table is organised in ascending order of the major dimension, usually “D.” Where more than one method of manufacture is shown, these are
grouped by size.
Dimensions (referred to in tables) are shown on diagrams. Where appropriate, the range of lengths (minimum to maximum) is shown.
Microsoft Excel allows searches. Excel spreadsheets showing information about individual section shapes contain two workbooks within them. The workbook
labelled PRINT has the information formatted so that you can print the document, and the workbook labelled SEARCH allows you to search the table. NOTE: use
the drop-down menus in the SEARCH workbook to select for example a dimension or method of manufacture to facilitate searching. After search is complete, click
on drop-down menu(s) used (arrows are shown in blue) and click '(All)' to view all of the data.
The following additional resources are also available from the British Stainless Steel Association to assist in the design and procurement of stainless steel sections:
Euro Inox
Design Manual for Structural Stainless Steel - Third Edition, Building Series, Volume 11
Available in hard copy, on CD-ROM and website - www.euro-inox.org
Tables of Technical Properties of Stainless Steels (flat products) - www.euro-inox.org/technical_tables/

6.7.5.2 Angles
The cross section shape resembles the letter L. Definition as equal or unequal angles depends on the ratio of the flange widths. The corners of the flanges are
rounded.
[1] These sections may also be obtained by hot extrusion. In its statistics, EUROSTAT considers hot extruded products to be hot rolled.
They comprise:
a) general purpose cold formed sections, for example, L, U, C, Z, Omega Sections
b) products for particular applications including cold formed sheet piling, crash barriers, building frames, lorry and wagon chassis
