Ministry of Foreign Affairs, promoting international friendship, by taking
advantage of his skills in speaking various foreign languages. Our institution
has experience with accepting trainees from Mongolia. The general manager
used to be a pilot and is good at speaking English. The director of the Nursing
Department has visited Hawaii several times and says that she is willing to
host an Indonesian employee. Our management personnel have a basis of
understanding of foreigners and have the abilities to educate them. In our
medical corporation, there are Chinese, Korean, and Pilipino employees and

they are paid according to their job achievements. Some of them are paid
higher salaries than the Japanese staff. We also have some foreign patients.
We have experience with accepting foreign workers and are not hesitant to
work with them.
Our medical cooperation group owns the Health Center, Shimonoseki, which
we took over from the Social Insurance Agency. The center offers various
seminars, including courses in foreign languages. It will be an ideal training
center for the candidates.
∙ The facility of our medical cooperation group, the Health Center, offers cultural
classes in Japanese flower arrangement, tea ceremony, and Japanese cooking,
providing the candidates with a good environment for learning about Japanese
culture.
∙ Our institution has a special ward for patients with particular diseases, offering the
Comments best quality care in the prefecture, a ward for patients with intractable diseases, and
a sanatorium type medical care facility for the elderly who require long-term care. In
addition, we introduced a rehabilitation ward for patients in their recovery period for
the first time in the Yamaguchi Prefecture. Our institution is particularly focusing on
rehabilitation and medical care for disabled people. All our staff members are making
efforts to contribute to community medical care as the employees of a Comprehensive
Medical Care Institution, cooperating with the Comprehensive Home Care Center
and keeping a close relationship with neighboring clinics for outpatients.
