Audience manners are based upon respect for the performers and for others in the audience and are expressions of courtesy. Unfortunately, young people in today’s society are seldom exposed to formal concert situations and are often not aware of these standards of appropriate behavior. By following these guidelines you can set a proper example for our students and make the concert more enjoyable for all. Avoid entering or leaving the room during a performance. If absolutely necessary to doso, move only between numbers Talking should be avoided during a performance. Attention should be directed to the performers at all times. Please silence or turn-off all devices. Please, no flash photography during the performance. It’s distracting to the performers and the audience. If you are videotaping the performance, please set your camera up on the side or in the back. Please don't block the line of sight for those sitting behind you.
