Objective I want to be a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nurse. I volunteered at a local hospital for a
year. Once I obtain my bachelors in science of nursing I plan on working at a children’s
hospital. I want to be able to make a difference and help others through my career
choice.

Experience Merced, CA — June 2012 - June 2014
● Check-in/opening ceremony​ - during this time I have to help set up, assist with
check-in and greet kids and parents
● Large group time​ - is a segment featuring singing, a Bible lesson, a gospel
presentation, prayer, and announcements. We teach the kids to worship God
and learn from his word. We assist by participating in large group activities with
the kids and counsel those who respond to an invitation to trust Christ for
salvation.
● Handbook time​ - pray with children, work with kids to read sections and keep
records
● Game time​ - organize teams, maintain order, support the game director,
encourage participation and model good sportsmanship
● Closing ceremony and checkout​ - help bring all the children together for a
final word of encouragement, award presentation and prayer at the end of the
ministry gathering, talk to parents when they pick up their children and make
sure kids are checked out according to the church’s Awana procedures
● Leading a child to Christ ​- clearly, present the gospel to children and youth
who are ready to make a salvation decision, sharing their testimony, and explain
the gospel and invite kids to trust in Jesus
