Planning for learning is very important because it’s like a guide for teachers in
the lesson and it helps teachers to determine how students will achieve the
learning objective. For my first lesson I and my MST plan together and the
planning was divided into three parts which are engage, core and close. Firstly,
my MST said that at the begging of each lesson you should have a short quiz
about the pervious lesson and a worming up to let students get start to learn. I
think doing quiz at the beginning of the each class will help students search in
their thought about their prior understanding and doing worming up will help
learners to refresh their minds and be ready to learn. Secondly, my MST told me
that I must have a minimum of three activities in the core part and you must be
careful about how you will involve practicing in the book because that will help
you to achieve the learning objectives. Also, you should be creative how you will
do your activities. From that, I will get students attention to the lesson and that
will cause a benefit to learners to achieve the learning objectives. Thirdly, for the
close part MST said that you must find a way about how you will assess students
understating. I prefer to use games because that involve all the concept of the
lesson because form that I will know if learners achieved the learning objectives
or not. In addition, planning for leaning is very important because teachers will
gain confidence, make areas for improvement and allow the teacher to think of
higher objectives that matches students thinking.
