The building in which | work is the multi-cultural building for the district of Southfield Public Schools. Our building is very diverse and requires much thought and preparation for our students to be successful. Students come from such a wide variety of backgrounds that in order to be a successful teacher in our building, one must put a lot of thought and preparation and variety in order to meet the needs of the many diverse students that we have here at Vandenberg. In working with Ms. Morris, | have seen all of the hard work and preparation that, she puts forth in every lesson. She has spent time trying to diversify all levels so that each person is challenged at the appropriate level. She has been not only successful, but has shown a great deal of initiative and creativity in the process, using technology and a multitude of other means to assure that she and her students are successful As far as being professional, Ms. Morris has shown maturity, responsibility and professionalism at all times. She not only arrives on time to work on time, but she arrives early and stays late to make sure that she is prepared. She has attended all staff meetings and professional development. She has also attended all after school functions. She also assisted with Science Club for the 2017-2018 school year. Her attitude is very professional and she welcomes feedback. She has a growth mindset and has developed good relationships with students, staff and parents. Ms. Morris exhibits strong classroom management skills which can be difficult to find coming from new teachers. Ms. Morris has worked very hard to achieve these goals and | am confident that she will continue to work even harder in the future. She has planned and implemented unit lesson plans in math, science, social studies, reading and writing. Ms. Morris has shown that she is able to handle anything that may arise ina classroom. For these reasons and many more, | would highly recommend Ms. Morris for a teaching position and | feel that she would be a strong asset to any school.
