heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms moving
across the region Monday Morning into
Afternoon.

Coastal Flooding
Coastal Flood Hazards and Impacts:
Marine / Coastal Hazards  Minor to locally Moderate coastal flooding.
 Inundation of 1 to locally 2 ft above ground
in vulnerable coastal locales in the Advisory
area.
 A few waterfront road closures and shallow
flooding of waterfront properties.

Shoreline Hazards and Impacts:


 5-8’ breaking waves along the oceanfront,
resulting in widespread beach flooding and
erosion. Minor dune erosion possible.

 3 to 5’ breaking waves along W LI Sound


may result in locally moderate coastal
flooding along shoreline roadways and
properties, with minor damage possible to
shoreline structures.

Timing:
 During times of high tide this

Event Summary

 A widespread 2 to 3 inches of rain, with locally higher amounts, is


expected through Monday, causing minor to locally moderate urban,
poor drainage and small stream flood impacts.

 Minor to locally moderate coastal impacts expected during time of high


tide Tonight and Monday Morning. 1 to locally 2 ft of inundation in
vulnerable coastal locales.

 Isolated thunderstorms possible on Monday, but not expected to be


severe.

 E to SE winds of 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph through


Monday Afternoon, causing isolated damage and power outages.
