My name is Krystal Angel and I have known Karen Arguelles for about 3 years. She is a student of mine 
at El Capitan High School, where I am a Mathematics teacher. This is a position, in which I have held 
for over 4 years, and two years elsewhere. 

I am writing to recommend that you consider Karen Arguelles for any or all scholarships in which she 
meets requirements. In my few years of experience, some individuals stand out for their great qualities 
and Karen is one of those people. She is well known for her responsible, hardworking, and independent 
personality. She is well respected throughout the classroom as a student who is on time, helps out, and 
is always working harder to better herself. She always makes it a point to communicate any problems 
or concerns she has. She not only was a student in my Math class, but has also been a TA for me for 
two years. She does quality and efficient work. Karen has big goals of getting her BSN, and eventually 
wants to be a ​NICU​ nurse. She currently holds a 4.0 GPA. She has been involved with Link here at El 
Capitan. She volunteers at Mercy Medical Center as well as Snelling School for community service with 
over 240 hours. She is Bilingual and received the seal of biliteracy. And her hobbies include crocheting 
and playing the piano, and she still has time to be a CSF member for both her 11th and 12th grade 
years.   

In summation, due to her great attitude, dedication, and excellent potential, I would heartily 
recommend that you accept Karen for any and all scholarships so that she can further her education 
and reach her goals to get her BSN. I am sure that she will not let you down.
