Environment (SHE) Committee Member.

You will be representing as an employee


representative.

Your roles and responsibilities as a SHE Committee Member are clearly stated inside the
Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and Safety and Health Committee Regulation 1996.
Kindly refer to the attachment for your references. Listed below are the summary of your roles
and responsibilities as SHE Committee Members:

a. To review the effectiveness of SHE programmes


b. To carry out evaluation on results of analysis and trends of accidents, incidents, near
misses, environmental impacts / pollution, dangerous occurrence, occupational
poisoning or occupational disease which occur at the place of work.
c. To carry out investigation on any accidents, near misses, environmental impacts /
pollution, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease and
discuss the findings of root cause and propose recommendation for corrective and
preventive actions.
d. To inspect the workplace at least once a month to observe the SHE practices and non-
compliances.
e. To participate in the planned SHE Committee Meeting.
f. To promote and communicate info related to Safety, Health and Environmental at the
workplace.
