Brief description of the system in the facility:

Home shop 18 network is located at 7th floor of building FC-24 in Noida. They are having air cooled as well
as water cooled chillers, AHUs & Cooling towers. The utility installed is to cater the cooling load of the
entire building.

Observation & Opportunity Points:

1. There are 4 water cooled chillers and one air cooled chiller.
o The circulation pumps were running on full load.
2. AHUs
o The fans of the AHUs were belt driven and the battery was in good condition.
o All the operation in AHUs were manually controlled.
o There was noise issue in AHUs.
3. Cooling Tower
o The cooling tower was very dirty.
o The fans of the cooling tower is not being regulated according to the load.
Proposed solution:
1. The circulation pump of the chillers should be regulated using VFDs.
2. The fans of the cooling tower should be controlled using VFDs.
3. Clean the condenser and evaporator side of chiller.
4. Assembly of two-way valve in AHUs.
5. Problems due to vibration and noise (solution to be given by Peter sir when he’ll go back).
Proposed Savings:
The estimated savings is to be 10%.
