CANDIDATE REFLECTIONS:
(Minimum of 3-4 sentences per question)
1. Briefly describe the field experience, What did you learn about technology facilitation and
leadership from completing this field experience?
The field experience for this course was the Lesson Plan Development and Implementation of
NETS-S standards, In this project, I leamed that in order to meet the NETS-S standards, students
must utilize Web 2.0 tools to demonstrate creative thinking, construct knowledge, and develop
innovative products and process using technology. I learned a vast amount of knowledge on the
different types of Web 2.0 tools that can be embedded in the curriculum that I teach.
2. How did this learning relate to the knowledge (what must you know), skills (what must you
be able to do) and dispositions (attitudes, beliefs, enthusiasm) required of a technology
facilitator or technology leader? (Refer to the standards you selected in Part I. Use the
language of the PSC standards in your answer and reflect on all 3—knowledge, skills, and
dispositions.)
In order for me to complete this project, I had to have major insight on the different Web 2.0 tools,
what they are used for and how they allow students to reach higher levels of Blooms. The skills
needed to complete this project involved creating and supporting digital age learning
environments for all learners. I must also build and deepen the content and pedagogical
knowledge in technology integration so I am able to effectively implement the NETS-S and
NETS-T standards. It fills me with excitement to know that I have the knowledge to share and
integrate technology into my own teaching as well as assist others to improve their teaching
through the use of technology.
3. Describe how this field experience impacted school improvement, faculty development or
student learning at your school. How can the impact be assessed?
This field experience impacted student learning at my school as well as the classrooms I teach in, I
will gladly share my lesson plan as well as others with other teachers who teach the same content.
I will now be able to reflect upon not only my teaching but other teachers as well to ensure that we
are incorporating student-directed, high technology, engaged learning environments. I will work
with the leadership teach to assess the impact of this lesson. However, I think the closing activities
at the end of the lesson plan will give a good indicator of the impact on student learning.
