Identities that change most when I think about my own identity management

Identity management is a discipline that is very crucial for the right individuals to get

access to the right resources in a computer at the right duration as well as the right reasons. In

case I want to manage a certain account the identity that I would like to change most is my

account password. It very critical to keep on changing your account in case of exposing your

device to other users (Bravo 246) . Certain users may end getting an access to your password

thus interfering with your personal documents. You may change decide to change your username

ensuring that you can easily recall the new password and username (Bravo 246).

Is identity management a form of lying.

Identity management sometimes lies. For example, some Facebook, tweeter, Instagram

users tend to create accounts giving information’s that do not match their careers. Some users

even go to an extent of user profiles that do not belong to them. Their intention is to attract more

viewers or create more friends. When it is not ok to change your identity, you can decide to

choose the best people you can share your details with. This should be the friends or family

members that you do trust most and whom cannot interfere with personal profiles (Bravo, pp.

243).

An interesting thing I learned from Alternatives to self-disclosure video

The alternative to self-disclosure video I watched portrayed how lying sometimes acts as

a solution to certain problems. The video explains the reasons as to why people lie to one another

(to prevent tension or conflict). Couples tend to lie to each other in order to maintain their

relationships. Patients sometimes lie to their doctors to avoid their doctors' judgement as well as

denial to their results.
