What is Multiple Intelligences? The theory of multiple intelligences groups different forms of intelligence into categories instead of simply defining it. This theory was created by Howard Gardner in 1983. He is an American developmental psychologist from Scranton, Pennsylvania and he graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. How would you use Multiple Intelligences in the Art Classroom? ● Musical intelligence can be used if some students need music to help focus or boost their creativity in the classroom. ● Naturalistic intelligence can be used with environmental projects and helping out the community ● Intra-Personal can be used when the lessons are based on identity and creating art based on personal feelings and home environments. ● Linguistic Intelligence can help younger artist explain how they feel with collages or paintings on how they feel.
