● Anticipatory Set (Hook): Ask them if they know any words that rhyme or a word that
rhymes with their name.
● Opening:

B: Learn different words that rhyme and make a connection with their name.
C: After reviewing the rhyming words
D: I will ask them to tell me two words that rhyme.
● Instructional input: Repeat with them each word so they can memorize them they learn
faster.
● Modeling:
1. Go over the words together as a group
2. Say each rhyming word loudly and clear.
3. Use one of their name and find a rhyming word
● Guided Practice: Say the rhyming words all together
● Independent Practice: Call each student and ask them to tell two rhyming words
● Assessment: Ask them what each word that rhyme mean.
● Closure: Ask them what we learn today? Did we learn new words?
● Sponge: Wait for them to ask me what words they didn’t understand.
