SLANG: WANNA, GONNA, GOTTA

In informal situations while speaking, and sometimes in informal


writing like emails, we sometimes merge words together to form a
new word.

WANNA

Want + to = Wanna.
I wanna go to the movies with you, but I'm broke.
Does he wanna go with us?

GONNA

Going + to = Gonna.
You can't call me at work. You're gonna get me fired.
And then I'm gonna get mad at you.

GOTTA

Have got + to = Gotta.


I gotta get home before my mom finds out I went out!
You gotta drive faster, so we can get there in time.
