1.0 Introduction

Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) Badminton Club is a community-based, non-profit

organization dedicated to foster the game of Badminton and to promote fellowship
among members. This year, our badminton Club will be organizing a badminton tournament for
east coast regions in conjunction with the university’s effort to encourage students of UMP to
excel not only in their academics but also in their self-development by participating in sports
activities. The Badminton Tournament for East Coast will be organized by Badminton Club in
campus Gambang UMP.

2.0 Objectives

1. To boost up the popularity of UMP.

2. To make UMP Badminton Open Team Championships as one of the highly
anticipated annual event by the fans in Malaysia

3. To discover talents and give deeper exposure in badminton field among UMP
staffs and students.
4. To gather organizations under one championship.
5. To create interaction and friendship among participants.
6. To nurture students’ competiveness in badminton at university or national
level.
7. To promote sportmanships among participants.

3.0 Target Audience

This Event targeted 2000 audiences mainly from university community, public in Kuantan area
as well as the Badminton Club from other local universities.

 6 – 8 player for every team

 Every match will play three pair of men double
 First round will be group stage
 Quarter Final, Semi Final are knock out system
 Maximum Up to 32 teams
