CURRICULUM CONNECTION
Math—Our final math module this year will cover further exploration of place
value, comparing numbers, and addition/subtraction within 100. The students
will be bringing together their learning from throughout the whole year to
tackle more challenging problems.

English/Language Arts—Throughout the last month of school, the students will

be reviewing the comprehension strands learned this year: sequencing,
summarizing, comparing/contrasting, non-fiction text features, and main
idea/details. Practicing these new skills will be beneficial over the summer.
When you and your child finish a bedtime story, quickly quiz them on the main
idea or ask them to retell the story to you (characters, setting, problem,
solution.)
