Create, maintain, and enter information into databases. Set up and manage paper filing
systems, recording information, updating paperwork, and maintaining documents,
such as previous purchases, correspondence, and other material.

Update donor databases. Build relationships with potential donors. Contact private
individuals by telephone in order to request donations for charitable causes. Deliver
prepared sales talks, reading from scripts that describe services, in order to persuade
potential customers to make a donation. Explain services and prices, and answer
questions from customers. Record names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of
prospects contacted. Adjust sales scripts to better target the needs and interests of
specific individuals. Answer telephone calls from potential customers who have been
solicited through advertisements.
Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to
correct any problems. Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, and
enter orders into computers for transmision to kitchen staff. Roll silverware, set up
food stations or set up dining areas to prepare for the next shift or for large parties.
Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linen.
