INTEGRATION IDEA - PORTFOLIOS

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote student-centered learning?

This would be a great way to organize and work on project-based learning advocacy project. Students could each have their own
site to organize and display their work. Students can also collaborate, share information, and publish their work for others.
Students could used sites to post resource, collect information, and work on parts of their project. Students could all see
community or even global support or spread awareness by networking through their google site.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
 Based on the “value-added rating scale” above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
 Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.
This would be a 3 on the scale. Project-based learning transforms a lesson but without google sites it would be more difficult to
accomplish. Google sites is fluid enough to encourage creativity and ownership but structured enough for anyone to use. This
would allow the students to pursue an area of interest, cultivate their own ideas and reach out to their communities. Teachers
would really take a back seat and help guide and refine their students own learning.
