documents, blogs and email or with a URL by uploading it to Screencast.com

INTEGRATION/IMPLEMENTATION IDEA - SCREENCASTING

How might you use this resource to promote student learning? Describe who will be doing the screen casting – you or your
students, and what purpose it will serve.

This could be used for a project-based learning activity or self-paced learning. Not only could the teacher
break the assignment up into steps, deliver instruction and model what is being taught but then ask the
students to create their own presentation using Snagit as well. I do, we do and then you do when the
student will be asked to submit their own project. A huge advantage to this is allowing students to progress
at their own rate. By asking students to send in screenshots to show completion or even a quick video
question, the teacher could also focus on the students that need additional help. The focus is student-
centered and on the content. Snagit enhances the over experience for each student individually.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
 Given the information above, how would the technology integration you described, using the selected resource? (On the
“Value-Added Rating Scale” above)
 Explain your rating based on the indicators on the rubric.
The lesson would be a level three on the value-added rating scale. The lesson is student centered and given that it not only allows
students to progress at their own rate, it also allows for multiple senses to be engaged as well. With simple adaptation it could
address the individual needs of each student in the classroom, creating a student-centered environment. It also transforms the
lesson in a way that could not be easily done without the use of the technology.
