RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

Pear Deck works with google slides to make a presentation more interactive. Students and teachers can create presentations that
their audience can follow alone with on their own device. With Pear Deck you can enable the audience to use pointers, answer
multiple choice question, respond in text and add notes. The presentation pace is controlled by the live presenter and can later be
accessed by the audience.

INTEGRATION IDEA - PRESENTATION

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote students’ presentation/speaking/communication skills?

This is a great presentation tool to encourage interaction and participation. Students could use this to present an assigned topic to
the class as whole using one of the interactive elements in each slide. In the content area of history you could assign groups a
primary source they have to analyze but research the context and then present their information to the class as a whole.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
 Based on the “value-added rating scale” above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?

 Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

I would rate this a 3 because of Pear Decks interactive ability it not only is a creative interactive platform but can be truly student
centered. Not only would the student presenter be engaged but their fellow classmates as well. This application offers a structure
that plans for opportunities for engagement with real time interaction. It encourages deep thought by promoting questioning and
offers the creator a tool to be creative with their learning.
