The document contains abstracts for two mini projects from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Wolkite University. The first project involves using a PID controller to control the speed of a DC motor by designing a GUI in MATLAB. The second project aims to design and implement an automatic wheelchair that supports people with higher degrees of impairment by allowing them to move from place to place independently.

DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING MINI PROJECT 1. Speed control of DC motor using PID controller ABSTRACT The project focused on speed control of DC motor. The main objective is to design and develop GUI for speed control experiment, where PID controllers design approaches has been applied. The controllers have been designed and the system is simulated using MATLAB to analyze their initial performance. 2. Design and implementation of Automatic WHEELCHAIR ABSTRACT Most disabled persons usually require the help of others in their daily life . Especially in order to move from one place to the other place.wheelchairs are used by a person whom walking is difficult or impossible due to illness, injury or disability,But most of the standard Wheelchairs don’t support people with higher degree of impairment,So our aim is to design and implement electrical wheelchair that support highly impaired people
