Virginia Tech’s Autism Research JUMPS into fundraising

What: The 6th Annual Center for Autism Research Press Conference and Seminar to
discuss research findings with the larger community and the process for
fundraising. This year the Virginia Tech Center for Autism Research partnered
with JUMP, the campuses crowdfunding campaign.

Who: The Virginia Tech Center for Autism Research is a department within the College
of Science. Doctor Angela Scarpa is a faculty member that decided to incorporate
the JUMP platform to assist in distributing information and gaining support,
especially financial means.

Where: (Hyatt Place, 650 University City Boulevard, Blacksburg VA 24060)

When: The conference will take place Friday, March 21, 2017 at 8 a.m. There will be a
press conference at 8:15 a.m. followed by an opportunity to interview with Nicole
Verdin, the Public Relations associate for JUMP to talk about the background of
what crowdfunding is and how it became at Virginia Tech. There will also be an
opportunity to interview with Angela Scarpa to discuss the benefits of JUMP for
university departments and how she went about starting this campaign. If you
