I have graduated with a Master's degree in Social Work from Boston College in May 2017 and
have my LCSW. I aspire to help and work with people of all ages. My experiences include work
with children and early adolescents in different settings, such as preschool setting, after school
program, and also a residential setting within a hospital. I have also done some volunteer work
with the elderly as well in high school through the Red Cross with their Senior Connect Program.
During my senior year of college I was able to do my internship at Franciscan Hospital for
Children in the CBAT Unit. While there I learned about case management, how intakes are done,
as well as good organizational skills. I currently work at South Bay Mental Health as a CBHI
Family Provider. At this job I have learned how to create a treatment plan, attainable goals for
my clients to achieve, contacting and collaborating with collaterals. I have learned many skills
through courses within college, my internship, field placements, and through my job that will be
beneficial for this job as a social worker in a nursing home. I have also interned as an In Home
Therapist ad created goals and treatment plans with the families, as well doing the CANS
assessment. Also collaborating with other providers working with the families and participating
in weekly group supervision with other in home therapists. This past year I have been interning
in an Elementary school in Billerica, MA and worked predominately with children with autism.
Sitting in on IEP meeting and behavior meetings. Working with children one-on-one, as well as
in group settings. When doing groups the focus was on social skills and working with children
on learningsocial skills by learning social cues and being flexible/comprome. Being able to work
with the teachers and administration and still be able to advocate for the children's needs. I
currently work for Lahey Health Behavioral Services in Haverhill, MA as an Intensive Care
Coordinator. I work with children and families on coordinating services for families and working
with outside agencies and providers to help families create a plan and meet their goals with
services.
