To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing on behalf of Mr. Caleb Parker, senior at Western High School. I have had the
privilege of teaching Caleb in our high school’s FLEX class and English. Caleb consistently
impresses me with his maturity, his dedication to excellence, and his solid work ethic. He is a
valued member of my class and daily impresses me with his considerate and thoughtful attitude.

Caleb’s maturity sets him apart from his peers. He has a focused determination about him that
belies his teenage years. Caleb’s reflective nature gives him perspective that seems to elude those
around him. He understands the decisions he makes today will affect his future, which allows
him to avoid the trappings that trip up others. He will often seek the counsel of his teachers when
he has a decision to make or needs personal advice; and he often heeds the advice received even
when it takes him down more challenging pathways. Caleb is respectful and kind. He is quick to
ask me how how I am doing and offer thoughtful words of encouragement.

Caleb utilizes his work ethic in the classroom on each task given. He stays focused on the topic
at hand and is consistent with turning in assignments, as well as earning high scores on his
assessments. Caleb strives to be an involved student as he continuously stays focused and asks
questions when clarification is needed. He is responsible and works to maintain a high GPA. His
drive for excellence in his studies is commendable.

It has been an honor to be part of Caleb’s education. Caleb’s work ethic, dedication and
motivation to succeed, in conjunction with his maturity have set him on a road to success in
whatever he decides to pursue.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Jeanette Parker
