O is a recent (60s) response to medieval universalism

(human consensus- human family- world culture- global integration). Medieval uni.
Was based on the notion of superstructure of organic communities, modern W.O. is
based on the need to transcend nationalist fragmentations and global conflict. Ex.
League of Nations.
The main concern is the resolution of culture/politics contradiction.
Metaphorical reality?
As groups of people evolved >> differentiation of primitive/advanced,
developed/developing. Till Spanish destruction of the Inca (clash) which was
repeated over and over.
Difference in functional shape.

1- Subjugation-deculturation > fake equilibrium.
2- Permanent conflict leading to :
a- Permanent conflict.
b- Detente.
c- Federal arrangement where both retain some essence of id.
d- Apartheid, -ve federation.
e- Separation.
Federal arrangements cannot satisfy subdominant demands for autonomy and
remain federal.
All W.O models are based on metropolitan superstructural assumptions, leaving out
a large portion of countries.
