Crisis of Olde: Tale of the Twelve Warriors

In a time long past, an ancient civilization was on the brink of extinction from climate

change. The astronomers of this very civilization discovered a falling meteor set to crash into

their capital. The astronomers warned the king of the city, who commanded his royal army to

send his people into their bunkers, with the meteor crashing into the very center of the city taking

the casualties of eleven high-profile citizens. After the meteor debris subsided, the king and his

advisors examined the site of the crash. Shocked by the results, the casualties of the meteor was

revealed to be ten royal knights, as well as king’s daughter and her suitor.

After sending the casualties to the temple, the king ordered his builders to excavate the

crash site to find out what the meteor was and why it crashed into the center of the city. Hours

later, the builders uncovered a mysterious metallic object with indecipherable markings on it.

What they could understand was twelve symbols belonging to the elements of fire, earth,

lightning, nature, ice, water, supernatural, poison, wind, steel, and the mind. The king’s head

advisor asked the builders to gather materials relating to the elements.

Upon placing the respective materials onto the symbols, the object glowed a violent

rainbow of colors reaching high into the heavens. Taken aback by the sudden flash of rainbow

light, the king took notice of the object’s mystical properties. Before anyone could react - the

object levitated upwards, positioning itself vertically - firing twelve beams of light towards a

particular building.

These shining arrows curved and bent around obstacles as they were alive and

intelligent. Stopping high in the air above a temple, these beams curved around in a spiral

striking the victims which housed the object. Following an explosion of colorful light far enough

to be seen around the world. The medics of the city went towards the inflicted, only to find them

to be in perfect condition as if they had never been harmed at all. After examining the patients

for any lasting physical damage, the medic began finishing up the reports to be sent to the king.

Once they arrived at the king’s palace, the inflicted told him the state of the object and

what it had done. Confused by this, the king pondered why this happened, though he could not

finish the thought as something mystical was soon to occur.

An astronomer ran into the palace crying out, “My liege! There is something

happening to the moons and suns! They are - eclipsing!”

WE HAVE COME TO YOUR PLANET TO PREVENT ITS DEMISE. THERE IS A BEING 

OF PURE EVIL BEND ON THE DESTRUCTION OF ALL THAT IS GOOD IN THE 

UNIVERSE. WE HAVE TAKEN CONTROL OF THESE HUMANS BODIES AS OUR TRUE 

FORMS CANNOT BE PERCEIVED BY THE BEINGS ON THIS PLANE OF REALITY. IN 

EXCHANGE FOR YOUR AID IN PREVE​NTING DOOM, WE WILL BRING ABOUT A 

GOLDEN AGE FOR YOUR PEOPLE. 

“Sir where is that voice coming from?”, the astronomer asked the king before resuming

his panic of the eclipse.

“Someone find where that voice came from, guards keep the citizens calm, I want the

astronomers to keep tabs on the state of the moons and sky”, the king replied to his court.

He was told the voice came from the medical bay - the voice came from his very own

daughter. “What are you saying to me? That my own daughter Ariara spoke to the entire state?

Impossible”, the king furiously questioned the guard.

“My liege, I went there and they said it the princess who spoke”, the guard nervously

retorted. Before the king could yell any further, the guard ran off to his usual post.

“My liege, what do we do now? There is still the eclipse to worry about”, the astronomer

asked the king.

Due to the sudden crisis on his hand, the buildup of stress got to the king, “Get my

daughter here, and the rest of them too. Summon my medic would you Larsyn? I need to be

calmed down.”

Not ten minutes later, the princess and the others arrived at the palace, for them to find

the king being relieved of his stress by the medic.

“Father, are you alright? What is happening to you?”, the princess cried out while

hurrying to her father’s side.

“I am alright my little Ariara, this…event…has unexpectedly caused my aura to

fluctuate”, the king assured his daughter, “More importantly, are you alright? You were struck

by a falling boulder.”

“No father, Euthern pushed me out of the way so I would not be harmed”, Ariara

reassured, “Though the stone caught all of us in the crash.”

“I am deeply ashamed King Averm. I could not protect your daughter, not even my

betrothed”, Ariara’s suitor said while kneeling in front of his king.

“Nonsense Euthern, you were more than willing to sacrifice yourself for Ariara. That is a

deed no one can take away”, Averm replied, “You should be praised for your commitment to

your bride. ”

“Thank you my liege, your forgiveness is well appreciated”, Euthern replied. Before they

could continue, a sudden darkness befell the entire city. The suns and moons had fully eclipsed,

the planet faced a dual solar eclipse.

“What has happened to our suns?”, one astronomer cried out.

“The moons are covering them!”, another astronomer cried out.

“Calm down! We need to remain calm, astronomers keep observing the sky! I need intel

on how the populous is handling this! We need to know what is going on here”, Averm declared.

Upon hearing their liege’s command, they went onwards with their deeds, trying to make

sense of their situation.

“Pray the holy seven, what is going on with the heavens?”, Averm sighing due to the

cosmic event, “I ask the holy seven to protect my people from any harm and-”.

DO NOT BE AFRAID OF YOUR SUNS ECLIPSING. THIS EVENT ALLOWed US TO 

BEGIN THE CEREMONY. 

“What-who? Ariara…What are you saying?”, Averm asked his spaced-out daughter.

YOUR DAUGHTER IS PERFECT CONDITION KING AVERM. I AM ONE OF THE 

TITANS CREATED BY THE SEVEN LIGHTS. I AM THE TITAN OF THE MIND Psyche. AS I 

STATED BEFORE, WE HAVE CAME HERE TO PREVENT A GREAT EVIL FROM 

DESTROYING ALL THAT IS GOOD. 

“Created by the Seven Lights? That means your power is-?, Averm said before being cut

off.

UNIVERSAL YES. BACK TO THE MATTER AT HAND, WILL YOU AID US IN 

OUR CRISIS? IF NOT WE WILL UNDERSTAND AND LEAVE THESE BODIES 

WITHOUT CONFLICT. WE WILL TAKE THE NEXUS WITH US THOUGH. 

“Even if I say yes, that decision is up to my daughter Ariara and her suitor Euthern”,

Averm replied.

UNDERSTANDABLE, THAT IS WHY WE ONLY PICKED THESE SOULS 

EXCLUSIVELY. THEY HAVE THE PURITY AND TRUTH TO AID US IN OUR CRISIS. 

WE WILL ASK- 

“I am alright with helping the Titans regardless of who they are. They need help and I

was chosen to do this, so I will fight for the good of everyone”, Ariara stated while Psyche was

in control of her body.

“Ariara…”, Averm replied. 

“The more important thing is if Euthern and the others will-”, Ariara said before getting

cut off.

“We will follow through the gates of the Underworld for you princess”, the ten knights

stated kneeling down.

“As with myself, I will follow your decision”, Euthern continued.

Blushing at her Euthern and the knight’s utter loyalty, Ariara continued, “Thank you, this

means a ton to me.”

YOUR ALLIES HAVE THE QUALITIES THEY WERE CHOSEN FOR. THE OTHER 

TITANS RESPECT THEM IMMENSELY.. 

“Other Titans?”, Averm asked.

YES, THEY ARE CURRENTLY INHABITING THE BODIES OF YOUR KNIGHTS AS 

WE SPEAK, BUT AS I AM THE TITAN OF THE MIND I AM THE ONLY ONE CAPABLE OF 

SPEAKING WITHOUT FORCIBLY TAKING OVER ARIARA’S BODY. 

“Hmm, that is very interesting”, one of the knights said, “How do we know what Titan

we have?”

A VERY GOOD QUESTION. 

I CALL TO THE Ten HEAVENLY TITANS. SHOW THESE MORTALS YOUR 

PRESENCE.! 

Like clockworks, Euthern and the ten knights palms began to glow in different colors.

“A red flame?”, one knight asked before being immediately being answered.

JULIUs…YOU ARE AIDED BY IGNIS, THE TITAN OF FIRE. YOU WERE CHOSEN 

BECAUSE OF YOUR FIERY PASSION. 

I SHALL CONTINUE IN ORDER.  

The ten knights nod in unison to Psyche’s statement.

YVENES, YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN BY TERRUS, THE TITAN OF EARTH FOR 

YOU ROCK-LIKE PROTECTION. 

THERON, THE TITAN OF LIGHTNING, FULGER, HAS CHOSEN YOU FOR YOUR 

AGILITY TO HANDLE ANYTHING THAT COMES AT YOU. 

HERAI, YOUR TRANQUILITY, AND PEACEFUL MANNER HAS GIVEN YOU THE 

TITAN OF NATURE FOLLUM’S TRUST. 

EUTHERN, THE RIGIDNESS OF YOUR SOUL TO KEEP YOUR LOVED ONES SAFE 

HAS IMPRESSED THE TITAN OF ICE, GLACIES. 

KAERYO, YOUR FLUID PERSONALITY TO GO WITH WHAT FATE GIVES YOU 

HAS PAIRED YOU WITH MARE, THE TITAN OF WATER.

RYOUN, THE TITAN OF THE AFTERLIFE, GEISTNUM, RESPECTS YOUR MYSTICAL 

PROWESS IN THE HEAT OF BATTLE. 

VALVERUS, YOUR CUNNING PERSONALITY TO WHICH YOU USE TO ACHIEVE 

YOUR GOALS HAS VENENUM’S, THE TITAN OF TOXICITY, TRUST IN YOU. 

ICARUS, YOUR SOARING KINDNESS, AND BRAVERY HAS WON THE 

INTENTION OF THE TITAN OF WIND, VENTUS. 

GORRAN, THE BRUTE STRENGTH AND GENTLE KINDNESS YOU POSSESS HAS 

HONORED FERRUNUM, THE TITAN OF METAL. 

Eleven titans for each of the elements on the object huh, Averm thought to himself, how

do I know they can stop this “crisis” they speak of?

YOUR UNCERTAINTY OF THE CRISIS TO COME IS UNDERSTANDABLE. Our 

power will prevent the crisis we speak of if the chosen ones can properly aid 

us. 

“What, you can hear me-”, Averm startled, “-and what do mean by is they can properly

aid you?”

IF THE CHOSEN ONES STRAY FROM THEIR TRUE SELVES THE BALANCE 

BETWEEN THEM AND US TITANS WILL WEAKEN US, THEREFORE NOT STOPPING THE 

CRISIS. AND YES, I HAVE THE ABILITY TO READ MINDS. I BELIEVE HUMANS CALLED 

TELEPATHY. 

“Interesting”, Averm replied, “But for the sake of everyone, do not read their minds

without permission. It comes across as an invasion of privacy.”

HMM. WHILE MY INTENT WAS NOT TO OFFEND, I WILL REFRAIN FROM THAT 

FROM NOW ON. 

“What is this crisis you are warning us about?”, Icarus asked Psyche.

“Yes, how do we know this crisis is really all that bad?”, Yvenes continued.

THE CRISIS I SPEAK OF IS THE ORIGINAL EVIL. 

“Do you mean-”, Herai asked.

CHAOS INCARNATE. CHAOS IS COMING TO THIS WORLD TO DEVOUR IT. IT 

WILL ERASE ALL THAT IS SO THAT NOTHING IS EVERYTHING AND EVERYTHING IS 

NOTHING. 

“No wonder the spirits seem to be going into a frenzy”, Ryoun stated, “Maybe this crisis

is the reason why.”

“Why did you not warn us yet Ryoun?”, Valverus rebuked.

“I figured it was due to some foolish thieves destroying the resting places of the

deceased”, Ryoun scratched his chin.

“Now now. We have to worry about this crisis on our hands”, Averm pressed his knights,

“We need to prevent chaos befalling all that is and will ever be.” 

DO I HAVE YOUR AID IN THIS CRISIS?

“No question about it” Theron and Yvenes kneeled down.

“We have families and loved ones to protect” Juliuch and Herai continued.

“We are knights chosen by the king himself”, Gorran and Valverus followed.

“Who are we to back down?”, Kaeryo, Icarus, and Ryan finished

“Hmm. There is no one else I would fight with other than you ten”, Euthern said.

See Psyche, these people are the strongest people I know​, Ariara thought to Psyche.

I SEE I LOOK FORWARD TO FIGHTING BY YOUR SIDE. 

“Everyone one of you may face your fate in this crisis”, Averm declared to his knights,

“Now we must prepare for the wort-”

A sudden sound of an ominous trumpet sounded across the world as the light of the

eclipse began to darken.

“Knights of Genesia!”, Averm commanded.

“Liege!”, the knights replied.

“Prepare for the fight for the world…no the entire universe!”, Averm concluded.

“Yes my liege, for Genesis and the universe!”, the knights declared.

Once they charged out towards of the trumpet, they found a portal as black as a starless

night with mysterious cloaked figure stepping out. As he reached the knights before him, he

stopped too smooth to be normal.

“Where is the book?”, he demanded while summoning an ​emerald​ scythe covered in

darkness.

“Euthern he does not mean-”, Ariara asked him while keeping her gaze locked on the

figure. 

THIS IS FAR WORSE ARAIRA, YOU AND EVERYONE MUST RUN. THIS PERSON 

RESEMBLES THE ONE WHO CREATED US, EUCHUS THE WARRIOR OF LIFE. THOUGH 

HE IS EUCHUS, HE IS NOT ​OUR​ EUCHUS.

Before they could escape, the cloaked figure raised his scythe to the sky blocking out all

the remaining light on the planet.

What is he doing Psyche? The suns are disappearing!​ Ariara nervously thought to

Psyche.

HE CAN NOT BE DOING WHAT- EVERYONE RUN NOW!

“What do you mean Psyche?”, Euthern yelled to Psyche before Euchus’s eye glowed a

dark green.

GUARDS OF THE GENESIAN ROYAL FAMILY YOU MUST RUN TO SAFETY 

IMMEDIATELY. HE IS GOING TO DESTROY EVERYTHING IN THE CAPITAL! 

“Then we are going to fight for our kingdom, even if it costs us our very lives!”, Ariara

cried out.

“This is what we are meant to do, we will protect our people to the very end!”, Euthern

yelled.

At once all eleven warriors glowed in their respective colors, summoning forth the

elements.

“Fire! Earth! Lightning! Nature! Ice! Water! Spirit! Poison! Mind! Metal!! Wind!”, they

all cried out in order attacking Euchus will all the power they could muster.

As the dust cleared from their frenzy of attacks, Euchus stood completely unscathed from

their attack.

“What how did our attacks not work?”, Euthern fearfully asked.

HE IS THE ONE WHO CREATED US, WE ARE NO MATCH FOR HIM.

“Fear”, Ariara said, “That’s why our attacks did not do enough damage as it should have.

We can not win.”

“D-I-E”, Euchus exclaimed before striking the ground with such a strong force to cause the

capital of Genesis to sink beneath the very earth it was built on.
