Preschool News

April has not only been a busy month, but it went by very fast as well. We stayed busy with April Showers, Nursery
Rhymes, Community Helpers, and Earth Day activities.

We spent a week talking about rainy April weather. We did several science experiments about rain in addition to our
regular center activities.

The kids loved learning about Nursery Rhymes. We practiced sequencing different rhymes, made crafts, and has
leaning stations for different rhymes. The dramatic play area had princess dresses, a dragon costume, and lots of
other fun costumes to dress up in.

Community Helpers week was a big hit, especially in the dramatic play area. Part of our classroom was transformed
into a Hospital complete with stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, bandages, cotton balls. and much much more! in
addition to learning about hospital and doctors office staff, we talked about teachers, construction workers, chefs,
farmers, mail carriers and much much more!

We spent the last week of the month talking about Earth Day and recycling. We started off the week with a visit from
Ms. Amanda from OSS. She read us The Lorax and talked to us about taking care of the trees. The kids we very
excited to show off our "Recycling Center" in our dramatic play center. The kids practiced sorting items and cleaning
up.

In addition to our everyday routines, we had visits from some of the Kindergarten Teacher from Bataan. We had our
monthly visit from Mrs. Winke from the library. This month she read books and sang songs about bugs.
