    Positioning is important for people with right hemiplegia. When sitting, the back should be supported and the trunk held straight. When lying on the unaffected side, the head, trunk and pelvis should be kept in alignment. When lying on the affected side or in bed, the affected shoulder and leg can be eased forward for comfort while supporting the arm. Proper positioning can help reduce strain and spasticity.
