In this quarter, I studied about the Thai culture for example, Wai (praying), Thai traditional

costume, Thai traditional music, Thai traditional play, etc. We watched the music videos and found
out about these cultures. After that, we got to chose the topic that we interested in to study. For me,
at first, I chose eating by hands which is the way for Thai people to eat food in the past. Then, I
studied about Thai traditional costume. So, I decided to mix these two topic to do a product. I did
the research about the time that when people stop using hand for eating and the reason as well. So, I
found out that people started to use spoon and folk because they received the Western tradition.
Moreover, people started to know about the sanitation. Because of that, I then thought about the
hand towel. Next, when I did the research about Thai traditional costume, I found out the types and
the history. So, I had an idea to produce the thing that represent the Thai costume which is the
model. Thus, I combined this two idea as one. I decided to make the Thai traditional costume hand
towel.
This piece of work related to the ESLOs of the school in different ways. First, strategic
learner, I planed to work without wasting the time and I also used the technology to research. Next,
it is related to Innovative thinkers in the way that I built on the idea and explanation of what I am
going to do. I creatively did my product. Third, it related to articulate communicators in the way
that I could explain and state my idea by using technology.
Throughout this year in Thai Civic Duties class, I like the way teacher taught us by doing
the activity in the class, and taking note in which these enhanced the students to learn and it made
the class not become boring. Honestly, in my previous school, learning in this subject area was
really boring because the students only read and studied from the text. However, in this class, I
really enjoy the way of teaching. I was not only got the knowledge but I also got the experience that
I can use further in real life.
