Project 5 - Song Recreation

Project Description
Learning a skill requires constantly studying the professionals. In this project, you will be
recreating a popular song or a beat using Soundtrap, Studio One, Noteflight, or any other
method of producing music. This exercise will give you great insight into how artists and
producers go about creating the sounds and tracks they do.

Objectives/ Goals
Students will be able to recreate music, sounds, and/tracks originally produced by professional
musicians
Students will become more familiar working with a DAW and the process of creating music on
DAWs

Project Requirements
1. The project must be completed on a DAW or other production software that allows you to
create music including, but not limited to, Studio One, Soundtrap, Noteflight, etc.
2. The replication must be at least 24 bars.
3. The replication ​must including at least 6 tracks or instruments
4. The project will including a one page rational paper that explains the decision made in
the reproduction.
