Facilities
The facilities that are needed for this event are the 3 main courts at
UNC’s recreation center. The camp will need them set up with no bleachers
on the outside of courts. If possible instead of bleachers and benches,
foldable chairs would be preferred for the benches for teams during games.
Will need a score table in the last hour of Monday through Thursday for
both camps and for camp 1 on Friday from 10am to 1pm, for camp 2 on
Friday from 10am to 12pm.
Supplies
Along with the facility needed the camp will also need around 50-75
basketballs, 60 foldable chairs, and 3 score tables with score clocks.
Outside of the materials needed for the camp, we will also need 100 shirts
for all of the athletes, and also 100 bottles of water for the athletes as well.
For staffing we will need two coaches who will be paid and eight to
ten players who are willing to volunteer to help with the camp.
Marketing Details
In order to advertise for the camp, we will use both social media
platforms for free advertisement, as well as pay to make flyers to hang up
in high traffic areas of town. For social media we will use all three major
platforms being; Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. We will also have flyers
that will be printed and placed in areas of high volume, such as rec centers,
schools, and various different businesses that have a high population of
families coming through.
Registration Procedures
In order to register for the camp a parent will have to fill out a
registration form, and payments will have to be made with either cash or
check. Payment must also be given at time of filling out the registration.
**Any registration being submitted by phone or mail must be paid by either check.
If paying with a check or money order make payable to Lil Hoopers Basketball Camp.
