Rationale for Shadowing Experience
The student shadowed the senior clinical
officer at the VA hospital for her shadowing
experience. The nurses on the unit had
recommended this leadership experience to
see what went on behind the scenes of
hospital management.
Rationale for Community Activity
The student and her group mates prepared
a 50-minute educational presentation
illustrating the effects of substance use and
abuse to over four hundred 7th grade
students at Challenger Middle School.
