Retriever Rescue of Colorado

The Retriever Rescue of Colorado is one of the largest volunteer based organizations in Colorado. The RROC
has rescued more than 2,100 retrievers and counting.

The RROC was created in 2006 by people that had been volunteering for single-breed rescues and realized there
was a need for a group that could take in any of the retriever breeds. With a tight budget and a handful of
dedicated volunteers the RROC went on to save about 30 dogs a year.

The organization is based 100% on volunteers. Some volunteers help when they can while others volunteer on a
daily basis. Well over a thousand dogs have found their forever families by the collective work of volunteers
and fosters.

RROC has multiple opportunities to help, from adopting, volunteering or fostering. Adoption costs vary from
$125 to $300 depending on the age of the dog. The adoption fees include spay or neuter, microchipping and all-
age appropriate vaccinations. When fostering, fosters provide a home for retrievers while they move on to their
forever homes. RROC can provide a crate, food, collar, leash and any necessary medical care for the duration of
their stay in a foster home.

RROC is committed to helping retrievers find their forever families.
