LESSON PLAN FORMAT

The following is a sample of the lesson plan format used by the University.

Lesson Topic/Focus: Reflection of excursion using e-book Date: 14/11/16

At the conclusion of this lesson, the students will know/understand that:
Students are to understand how to share their experience of the Botanical Gardens excursion through images and
captions.

Assessment:
Students will have chosen 6-8 images and written a 1-2 sentence caption that relates the picture to the excursion.

- Google Drive images

Lesson resources:
 Computer

Lesson content:
A. Introduction __5_ mins
- Settle students down on the floor.
- Ask students about what they did last time they had computers.

B. Development __10_ mins


1. Log onto a student's e-portfolio
2. Make sure all students have moved the classroom drive into their own.
3. Ask a student to show how to put into an image into the e-portfolio (guide as necessary)
4. Send students back to their tables, with computers (send them in small groups).

C. Consolidation, practice, extension __30_ mins


Students to complete learning at tables.
Students can finish other slides on their e-portfolio once they have finished the excursion pictures.

D. Closure __5_ mins


Get students back on the floor - if time permits show 1 or 2 of the e-portfolio's to all students and discuss what
the students have achieved.
Have students get ready for next class.
