How Web 2.0 Tools Changed the Culture of Training/Learning Across the World

What advances have occurred in an organization due to the web 2.0 tools displayed

above? Although, most of these tools are used for different learning methods, the primary focus

of each of these tools is to communicate and be accessible all around the world. The web 2.0

tools are beneficial to all organizations in Human Resources to help create and deliver trainings

to employees in different locations.

The benefits that web 2.0 tools integrate to an organization allows the employees to engage in

collaborative work with other staff members around the world, teach the effective methods that a

company uses, and to implement new marketing strategies.

The share of knowledge can immediately be transferred to the branches of the company.

As web 2.0 tools have emerged this allows companies to communicate and meet via face time

through skype with employees at any time (even in different time zones).

The positive impact towards companies to access trainings via the web, is the lower cost-

effective budget that a company saves. As an actual manager does not have to be in person

demonstrating an employee how to do their work, which saves the company revenue because all

employees may continue with their daily work. Also, the company does not spend on flying out

HR to train the employee, rather they can create a training using the 2.0 tools.

The training can be delivered through Articulate 360, Skype, or Google Docs out of many more

tools that are used for delivering information. Another aspect of using the web to train their

employees can immediately place the employee to work as they can access the training online,

this will increase productivity.

 They will acquire knowledge regarding the company

 Interact virtually with the format provided to enhance their learning/knowledge skills

work at their own pace)

 Match their skills with the learning goals that an employee should achieve with given

time

 Begin to brainstorm innovative ideas to succeed in the position the interviewee has

applied for.

 Results from quizzes to test their understanding regarding the virtual training (this

feedback is constructive to HRD staff as they will evaluate if the training is effective)
