PART B: ASSESSMENT TASK


CONTEXT: The focus of this research is the human search for meaning through Religion and Non- Religion
SHORT TASK DESCRIPTION/INSTRUCTION TO STUDENT:
NESA has contracted you, as current students undertaking Studies of Religion II, to establish an online
guide which can be used by other students in the state studying this subject. This study guide must serve
as a study tool for Religion and Non-Religion.
OUTCOMES BEING ASSESSED:

Task Description

Part 1. Glossary of terms - 15 terms from Religion and Non-Religion. 15 Marks


• Design either a crossword or cloze or matching interactive activity that makes use of 15
specific terminologies for Religion and Non religion. You will be assessed on choice of
terms, correct definitions and creative design.

2. Short answer -source information and written response: 40 Marks

For each question you are to:

Q1: “For the world to work you must have social transformation, which creates the space

With reference to the quotation, demonstrate the role of the religious dimension in
social transformation.

Q2: About 98% of all Buddhists, Christians and Muslims and 60% of all Jews now live
outside the original location were their religious tradition was founded. However only
about 2% of all Hindus live outside India
With reference to this information, inquire into and draw conclusions about the global
distribution of TWO religious traditions.

Q4: Compare the response of one religious (other than Christian) and one non-religious
