• Develop personalized academic support plans for a caseload of 5-7 students to cultivate time management,
problem-solving, and study skills.
• Provide referrals to campus support resources including: Academic Advising, Career Services, Student Counseling
Services, Student Disability Services, and the Office of Diversity Affairs.
• Deliver academic success workshops. Topics include: Time management, study strategies, test-taking strategies,

• Developed new content for a Trans* 101 training, utilizing intersectional frameworks.
• Consulted and collaborated with student organizations to support their understanding of and implementation of
programs and projects that center intersectionality.
• Revised and created new workshop content utilizing intersectional frameworks to address gender, gender identity,
stereotypes, discrimination, privilege and oppression.
• Organized the Let’s Talk Series, a monthly student-led dialogue to create space for social justice topics, such as food
insecurity and intersectionality in our campus community.

Summer Bridge Resident Director May 2017-Aug. 2017


University of California, Merced: Calvin E. Bright Success Center
• Developed and implemented a 3-week long training for undergraduate peer mentors.
• Designed and supported the facilitation of 18 programs over the course of the 8-week long Summer Bridge
Program. Topics included time management, improving study skills, note taking strategies, and self-care.
• Presented a welcome session for family members of Summer Bridge Participants in Spanish as well as engaged in
dialogue with Spanish speaking family members during all campus Orientation Sessions.
• Co-Supervised and mentored a staff of 16 undergraduate students.
• Managed a programming budget for the Summer Bridge Program of $1500.
• Co-instructed USTU 10: Introduction to Undergraduate Studies for 12 incoming first-years students.

engagement.
