BUCKINGHAM CHARTER MAGNET HIGH SCHOOL, Paul'Tyter, Principal * Sanda Ohara, Assistant Principal * Annaly Sandoval, Counselor * Bill Ewing, Coondinator of Student Services To whom it may concern, Iam writing this letter of recommendation for Kenneth Lavender. Kenny was an Academic Tutor and a TA of mine at Buckingham Charter Magnet High School in our World History Class during his Junior and Senior years (2016-2018) respectively During his time in my class, Kenny has shown an aptitude for historical analysis and proven he is, well-suited for leadership roles. Not only has he helped to maintain a very high academic standing for many of his younger peers in our class but he has also helped to add information he feels is interesting to the sophomore students during lecture to enrich and enliven the content they are learning about. Whenever any of his fellow students seem to be struggling to understand any of the historical materials and concepts, he is quick to lend a hand and help explain what is being asked of the student and is very affable and friendly while doing so, making him a comerstone of classroom instruction. This kind and assertive attitude extends beyond the classroom. Kenny has taken up a leadership role on our campus helping the safety advisory committee in our safety protocols and procedures. I believe this all shows a strong tendency towards being a natural leader. Kenny's greatest strengths are his love of history and ability to work as hard as he possibly can in any endeavor that he has pursued while always trying to be in high spirits. He has extensive experience as part of the Boy Scouts of America and has served as a troop guide and troop instructor as well as receiving high honors for his role with the Boy Scouts. Kenny has an interest in teaching in the future and this plays well into his strengths during his time as an Academic Tutor in our class. Kenny is a talented student writer and an avid reader, playing into his desire to learn both in the educational arena and beyond. Kenny has proven himself to be a valuable asset to our class and student body. 1 wish him the best in his future endeavors. If you require any further information, feel free to contact me.
