 Kambing jantan is the first film which created by Raditya Dika. This film was adaption

from the novel with the same title “Kambing Jantan” (2005) that written by Dika too. Radit was

born on Jakarta 28 December 1984. The other novel from Raditya Dika are Cinta Brontosaurus

(2006), Radikus Makankakus: Bukan Binatang Biasa (2007), Babi Ngesot: Datang Tak

Diundang Pulang Tak Berkutang (2008), Marmut Merah Jambu(2010), Manusia Setengah

Salmon (2011) and the newest is Koala Kumal (2014). Radit’s novel have a same unique side

that is always input an animal name in the title. Kambing Jantan was directed by Rudy

Soedjarwo.

Raditya Dika have graduated from senior high school must continue his study in the

Adelaide finance university Australia. So he must leave his girlfriend named is Kebo (Herfiza

Novianti). LDR was the Radit’s way because of his mom want radit school in Australia. In

australia Radit met Indonesian student same as Radit the named is Haryanto (Edric Tjandra).

Haryanto is Radit’s friend in Australia. Problems came and must faced. Radit should managed

his allowance to lived in Australia and to buy phone card. Radit know that his allowance can’t

supply his necessity. In the middle of story Radit feel bored with Kebo. Radit met Ine (Sarah

Safitri) his old friend. Radit felt comfortable with Ine and though he should leave Kebo. Ine who

read Radits blog give suggestion to Radit that Radit should made a novel or book based on his

blog story. Finally, Radit’s novel was saleable in Indonesia and Radit got much money from his

novel. And then Radit told the truth to his mom. The truth is Radit can’t continue his study in

Australia, and he want to come back to Indonesia. And become a writer.

Kambing jantan is about comedy and romance film. The story about Radit’s survive in

Australia with a good script and nice visual effects. This film combine Radit’s experience with

some jokes inside the story. For the Radit’s first film its very interesting. This film have good
crew to make this film better than the other film in that year. Rudy Soedjarwo make a good

communication with Radit so chemistry between Director, The Cast, and the all of the crew built

so well. The animator have good idea. When the animation in the scene which Radit pick up a

call with Kebo. He make the condition with they are in the same room and same table and have a

chit-chat with each other, and they looked at the same moon.

Overall, Kambing Jantan is a good comedy, romance film. The illustrator make this film

more colorful and make the viewers easy to understand the story. Kambing Jantan the story

about a fool student will amuse the viewers and tell you the one of way how spending this life

more enjoy. This film is fresh, fun, smart and enjoyable to watch. Highly recommended to

watch.
