spend a day of fun, exciting outdoor
learning, and fellowship June 2nd from
9:00-4:00.

Pre-registration is required, and includes:

PAYMENT INFORMATION

NWTF. Be sure to add an additional $20 if you are
taking the painting class and specify any memberships
you are joining or renewing.
*NWTF Membership includes: 1 year subscription to
Turkey Country magazine and Turkey Talk.
YOUR EVENT CLASSES
ARCHERY (A): Learn about a growing sport that can
be used for recreation, competitive shooting, or bow
hunting. Experience hitting the target.
SHOTGUNNING/TRAPSHOOT (B): You will
become familiar with different types of shotguns,
ammunition, proper gun fit, and gun cleaning. Time
will be spent at the range when you will shoot clay
birds.
HANDGUNS (C): The instructors will provide a
broad spectrum of information about the operations
and fundamentals of shooting handguns.
RIFLE MARKMANSHIP (D): Learn to shoot .22 rim
fire rifles and the fundamentals of marksmanship skills.
Come join us for fun and action on the firing range!
OUTDOOR LAWN GAMES (E): You will get
creative and make your own fun outdoor games to
amuse your neighbors, friends, and family for years to
come. Some options might be: Yard Yahtzee, Giant
Jenga, Lawn Scrabble, and Lawn Dominos.
MEDITATION, RELAXATION, & YOGA (F):
No previous yoga experience needed. We will learn
how yoga & mindfulness is a great way to let go of the
stress and tension that creates pain and irritation in the
body and mind and increase your flexibility and focus.
Then we will practice our meditation and relaxation
practices and learn the basic yoga positions.
**CANVAS PAINTING (G):
Paint a beautiful landscape of
wildflowers. Your class will be
taught by a professional-local
artist, with all materials provided.
There is an additional class fee of
$20. This fee must be paid in advance, please
submit with your WITO registration fee.
CARNIVOR COOKING (H): Join the
Registered Dietitian for a cooking class that
highlights the preparation of a nutritional meal
that can be adapted for wild game and enjoyed
by the whole family. Nutrition questions
welcomed!
FLY FISHING (I): This introductory course
will teach you the basics of fly casting in a fun
and relaxed atmosphere. The instructors will
guide you step-by-step different types of
casting and how to tie basic fishing knots. You
will have time to practice with an instructor
and on your own.
BRAIN TANNING & PORCUPINE QUILL
EMBROIDERY (J): Learn the natural process
of turning animal skins into usable leather.
Quill embroidery will teach you how the
Native Indians used porcupine quills to sew
patterns in buckskins, Native Indian culture
will be discussed during this class.
WALKING STICK (K): Learn the craft of
making a custom wooden walking stick out of
natural material by an expert craftsman. This
class will be a last session class to allow
additional time for those that may like to be
more detailed. Last time this class was offered
the ladies made beautifully designed walking
sticks!
