a Draw a rectangle having its sides 130mm and 78 mm long. Inscribe two 07
parabolas in it with their axis bisecting each other.

b A wheel of 60 mm diameter rolls downward on a vertical wall for half 08


revolution & then on the horizontal floor for the remaining half revolution
without slipping .Draw the locus of a point “P” on the circumference of the
wheel the initial position of which is contact point with the wall. Name the
curve
c A thread of length 200mm is wound around a circle of 50 mm diameter. 07
Trace the path of end point of the thread.

d Two Points A & B are 100 mm apart. Point C is 75 mm from A and 60 mm 08


from B. Draw ellipse passing through A, B, C.

a The distance between the foci of an ellipse is 94 mm and the minor 07
axis is 68 mm long. Find major axis and draw half ellipse by
concentric circle method and other half ellipse by oblong method

b Wheel of 210 mm rim diameter and 30 mm hub diameter rotates in 08


anticlockwise direction at 45 rpm. A point P on hub moves towards rim with
uniform linear velocity and reaches the rim after two seconds. Trace the path
of point P

c The distance between foci of an ellipse is 102 mm. The major axis is 132 mm 07
long. Determine the length of minor axis and draw half ellipse by rectangle
method and other half by concentric circle method.

d A fixed point is 85 mm from fixed vertical line. Draw the locus of the point P 08
moving such a way that its distance from fixed point is twice its distance from
fixed line.
