Rules and Regulations For Practicum
A. UNIFORM
a. Student should always attend practicum in proper uniform with nameplate.
b. In cases of institutional activities which entails casual/sports outfit, students will wear the Psych t-shirt.
c. If not in uniform, supervisor will mark the student’s DTR with NU (not in uniform). This would mean a
deduction of 20 points from Class Standing (CS) and would affect evaluation on uniform.
B. TIME
a. Students should enter and leave the institution on the time/schedule agreed on.
b. An absence of 1 hour to 1 day will be replaced by 2 days (1:2).
c. Absences due to medical condition should be supported by medical certificate and excuse letter (UC
rules on excused absences applies).
d. Planned/unplanned/emergency absences
i. Student should call or text immediate supervisor a day before or in cases of emergency, a few
hours before.
e. Tardiness
i. Accumulated tardiness of 1 hour will be replaced by 2 days.
ii. Tardiness of more than 15 minutes will mean a deduction of 20 points from CS.
iii. Early time out will be considered under tardiness and same rule (i & ii) applies.
C. OFFICE ETIQUETTE
a. Grooming
i. Neatly trimmed/combed hair
ii. Light perfume or cologne
iii. Clean and trimmed fingernails
iv. Limited jewelry
v. Concealed tattoos; no visible body jewelry
vi. Polished shoes
vii. Stockings without runs (female)
viii. Belts on pants; socks that match belt color (males)
b. Commitment in Work
i. Should be very thorough with your job
ii. Stick to the appointments
iii. Work as a team
iv. Always work with a “helping mind”.
v. Try to learn from others
c. Loyal to your work place
i. Be honest/trustworthy
ii. Have a cheerful workplace
iii. Work with a “smile”
