Drone2Map Installation Guide
This installation guide is your resource for information on System Requirements, installation, and
authorization of your software. The Drone2Map for ArcGIS Help http://doc.arcgis.com/en/drone2map
will provide you with information on capabilities, configuration and quick-start tutorials.
System Requirements
Verify that your system meets the following minimum system requirements:
Supported Platforms
Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate, Enterprise, Professional, and Home Premium (64 bit)
o .NET Framework 4.5 installation required if not previously installed
Windows 8.1 Basic, Pro, and Enterprise (64 bit)
Windows 10 Home, Pro, and Enterprise (64 bit)
Hardware Requirements
Minimum:
Recommended:
Windows 7, 8, 10 64 bits
CPU quad-core or hexa-core Intel i7/Xeon.
GeForce GPU compatible with OpenGL 3.2 and 2 GB RAM.
Hard disk: SSD.
Small projects (under 100 images at 14 MP): 8 GB RAM, 15 GB SSD free space.
Medium projects (between 100 and 500 images at 14 MP): 16GB RAM, 30 GB SSD Free Space.
Large projects (over 500 images at 14 MP): 32 GB RAM, 60 GB SSD free space.
Very large projects (over 2000 images at 14 MP): 32 GB RAM, 120 GB SSD free space.
Install Drone2Map
Note: If you have Drone2Map version 1.0 or 1.0.1 installed, Esri recommends uninstalling
previous versions before installing Drone2Map 1.1.
2 Start the Drone2Map installation program and click Next when you're ready to
proceed
3 Review the license agreement and accept it if you agree. Click Next to continue
with the installation. You must exit if you do not agree with the terms.
4 Click Change to specify the installation folder or Next to accept the default
location
After you have installed Drone2Map, you will need to authorize it for use. With the Named User
license, you can log in to any machine with Drone2Map installed. However, you may only log in to
one machine at a time. At version 1.1, Named User licenses are managed through ArcGIS Online or
Portal for ArcGIS. If you do not have a Drone2Map license assigned to your account, contact your
organization's license administrator and have them assign a Drone2Map license to your Named User
account. The Install topic of the Drone2Map for ArcGIS Help will provide you with information on
managing Drone2Map licenses http://doc.arcgis.com/en/drone2map/install/manage-licenses.htm.
1 Start Drone2Map
4 Click Sign in
When Esri releases an update to Drone2Map for ArcGIS, a notification appears when you
start Drone2Map. You can click the notification message to learn more about the update, and start
the update process. You can also check for updates during a session by clicking About > Check for
Update on the Project tab.
Uninstall Drone2Map
To uninstall Drone2Map for ArcGIS, use the Control Panel on your system. Open the Control Panel
and select Uninstall a program. Choose Drone2Map for ArcGIS from the list and click Uninstall.
