Proposal
In studying the concert scene for classical music in Dubai, one sees two areas that are not represented by the
artists who who currently perform there: mixed string ensembles and world class artists from areas other than
Western Europe. We believe by introducing string quartets, quintets and octets, as well as other more specific
repertoire based programs, led by a single artistic vision, we can enhance the fledgling program whose
foundation was well designed in the recent past. To continue that legacy and culturally enrich the next
generation, we offer a comprehensive series,(which for the purpose of this discussion can be referred to as
Dubai Friends of Chamber Music) with a possibility of a world class music festival in year two.

The budget includes the cost of the residency and can be adjusted as the presenter needs. All costs are per one
calendar week.

Housing and meal costs can be reduced or eliminated if a hotel sponsor were to offer rooms with a meal plan.
