Like a dying ember

I am slowly eaten by my emotion

I tried to, hard and ardous

The struggle to keep firm and strong

Is more than a challenge

I cannot take

But I swim the deepest

But I survive and I keep afloat

Hoping things will be different

After a brief respite

Under the deep ocean
