    Directly editing tables can be risky so care must be taken. The steps are: 1) Access transaction SE16N and enter a record identifier like a request number. 2) Activate debugging mode by typing /h and F8. 3) Enter variables GD-EDIT and GD-SAPEDIT and hit enter to display edit buttons. 4) Click edit buttons, enter X in VAL field and hit enter for each. 5) Hit F8 to directly edit fields and save when finished. Go back to exit editing.

    Direct Table Edit .

    ACHTUNG!!! Use CAREFULLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Client: XXX

    Author: G. Bakanidze

    1. Go to SE16N

    2. Type Table name. In order to edit only one record, try maximally restrict search results, I.e., in this
    example, we’re entering request number that should be changed.
    3. Type /h in the T-Code area and hit Enter.

    4. Right after that down below the screen we will see notification that Debugging switched on.

    5. After this notification hit F8 to proceed to the next step.


    6. Down below the screen in Variable are type two variables in the following order:
    GD-EDIT
    GD-SAPEDIT
    After that hit Enter.

    7. After that next to the variables the Edit buttons should appear.

    8. Click on the first one, then write X in the VAL field and then hit Enter.
    9. Do the same for the second one. Don’t forget to hit Enter 

    10. After that, hit F8 to proceed to direct editing table fields!.

    11. When we’re finished, hit SAVE button and then GO BACK.
