LEARNING OUTCOME 1.

Current Grade for LO1: Pass

You have met the Pass grade for both P1 and P2 for LO1. This is the highest grade you can
achieve for this. You have investigated a range of media adaptations (3) and explained the
original product compared to its adaptation, however; you would benefit from expanding
on the legal and ethical issues of the work.
For P2, you explored some adaptation ideas for a creative product, commenting on the
feasibility, constraints and target audience.
However; Can you please ensure that you add in the audience terminology (demographics,
psychographics and socio-economic groups) and cover who the primary and secondary
audiences would be for each adaptation idea.

LEARNING OUTCOME 2.
Grade for LO2 Part A (Treatment): P (the highest grade you can achieve is a Merit)
Grade for LO2 Part B (Storyboard): P (the highest grade you can achieve is a
Distinction)
Overall Current Grade for LO2: PASS

Treatment Feedback:
 It doesn’t feel that the work has followed the handout.
 The treatment requires an introductory paragraph explaining the concept and what
the work has been adapted from, what format it will take, where it would be shown
etc (link to the target audience later).
 Add more cast to the work, currently there are only two characters.
 You need a narrative overview; beginning (set up), middle (conflict) and ending
(resolution), explain what actually happens in the story.
Unit 10 Feedback

 Add more detail to the target audience profile, add primary and secondary audience
and also the audience terminology.

Storyboard Feedback:
 You need shot variety, currently there is a lot of shots that are long.
 Some of your shots are too long as a result, as you have added one image for a scene
that lasts ten seconds, I would consider expanding the image box and adding a few
more images for certain scenes.
 Research composers for the media form and genre similar to what you are adapting
and add some to the soundtrack section, commenting on the work they have made
and relevance to your work.
 You need to vary this with close ups / mid shots / OTS etc.
 Make sure that you change the image and the description.
