Randy Taylor has resigned as superintendent, effective immediately. Mr. Taylor had
served as superintendent since 2003 and oversaw a number of significant academic
and infrastructure improvements during his tenure. Major accomplishments included
‘expansion of the middle schooU/high school campus; construction of the Diane
Bertrand Science, Technology, and Humanities Center; expansion of AP offerings;
and playing an instrumental role in the current plans to build an Indoor Fitness and
Recreation Facility/Center for the Arts and residence hall. We thank God for the
many blessings that He has bestowed upon Rockford Christian Schools during
Randy's tenure.
The Board of Directors is launching a national search for the next superintendent. In
the interim, Amy Hultman, Principal of the Elementary School, will give leadership to
the elementary campus, Drew Popejoy, Principal of the Middle and High School, will
give leadership to that campus, and on issues that transcend the individual
campuses, they will confer with Kim Hawkinson, Chief Financial Officer, along with
Joe Sosnowski, Director of Advancement. We thank Amy, Drew, Joe and Kim for their
willingness to provide school leadership during this time of transition.
We are grateful to our staff, teachers, students and families for being part of our
proud tradition of excellence in faith-based, college-preparatory education. We invite
your prayers for Rockford Christian Schools during this time of transition.
